Have you seen the price of silver lately? It's setting new records (up 19% so far this year, and breaking new records every day) - (though, on an inflation adjusted basis, it's still way below 1980 levels, when those brothers tried to corner the silver market). On an economic level, there are some parallels between now and 1980 - inflation, slower growth (recession?), etc. With the weakness of the dollar continuing (making imports more expensive here), precious metal markets are reflecting continued inflation fears. Hmmm...
