I agree with his comments - the federal government should not come to the aid of people and banks who pushed the risk envelope. To do so would simply encourage similar risky behavior in the future (because people will think the government will help them eventually, too). We are seeing an expected correction in what was a speculative housing market. It's normal and it needs to happen.
